Among the many activities organised are the field courses and workshops for children which focus on nature education.
These include programmes exploring the links between plants, animals, humans and the environment and the conservation of the
rainforests.
The FRIENDS organise talks of public interest related to gardening and the conservation of plants. Plant exchanges
and sales and many other activities are held regularly.
By promoting greater interest in plants and horticulture, the FRIENDS hopes to generate a greater appreciation of the gardens
as a unique natural asset to be preserved, nurtured and enjoyed by citizens and visitors now and for many generations to come.
